Pictured is my first show cat and soul mate, Squeakle J. A Kimmey.I adopted his mother from a shelter and then learned that she was pregnant.

The other kittens were found homes when they were old enough, but his mom and Squeakle remained with me.

His mother died as a young cat, but after a show career of four years, that earned him many honors as a household pet division competitor. He retired and died many years later at the ripe of age of nineteen years, succumbing to cancer.

He was a beloved member of the family and his name lives on as part of my former cattery's name.

We have lost a number of truly beloved family members, both in our human family as well as in our cat family.

All those we have lost have left a hole in the fabric of our lives and will be remembered by the love and attention we give to those who remain in our earthly care

They will also be honored by our continuing commitment to show dignity, compassion and love to all those we care for and about.

I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow

I feel my fate in what I cannot fear.

I learn by going where I have to go.
